Loving And Trusting Others

Love bears up anything and everything that comes is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything without weakening.  1 Corinthians 13:7

Have you ever had to deal with a situation that involves gossip about a friend you’ve known for some time? Something that was brought to you and that it is negative about them? Do you jump right away to judge them before you even hear the full story and the other side of the story from the other person?  I am guilty as charged to some degree when I hear about something unpleasant a person I know that has made a very bad choice and I become sad, mad and judgmental right away.

I’ve had to stop myself and ask is this the real truth? I find myself becoming weary and being suspicious of the matter. Don’t do that! It’s between God and the person. Always give people the benefit of the doubt, and never believe something bad about them unless you positively know it to be true. Then talk to them confidentially and share your concerns. It may or may not have a positive result though. Depending on your relationship with them.

Believing the best in people saves you many hours of a mental misery, heated discussions and possibly loss of a friendship. Always pray to follow God’s advice and always believe the best of everyone. Be loving, patient and kind to all.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”  John 13:34-35

Be in the stillness of the Lord and pray he speaks to you while waiting in His silence.

AS YOU BECOME increasingly aware of My Presence, you find it easier to discern the way you should go. This is one of the practical benefits of living close to Me. Instead of wondering about what is on the road ahead or worrying about what you should do if or when you can concentrate on staying in communication with Me. When you actually arrive at a choice point, I will show you which direction to go. Many people are so preoccupied with future plans and decisions that they fail to see the choices they need to make today. Without any conscious awareness, they make their habitual responses. People who live this way find a dullness creeping into their lives. They sleepwalk through their days, following well-worn paths of routine. I, the Creator of the universe, am the most creative Being imaginable. I will not leave you circling in deeply rutted paths. Instead, I will lead you along with fresh trails of adventure, revealing to you things you did not know. Stay in communication with Me. Follow My guiding Presence.   Psalm 32:8  Genesis 1:1
