Summer….. Finally! My favorite season of the year. The days are longer the sun rises early and sets later in the evening. Warm nights when I can sit outside and look at the sunset and stars with my husband.
To see beautiful aromatic flowers and roses blooming. Having our dinnertime outside with delicious side salads. Inviting our friends and neighbors over and enjoying each others company.
This season brings my husband and me out of the house to go camping in our travel trailer. Camping with my husband at the beach is my favorite place ever! It brings peace to me, relaxes and charges up my heart. And it gives us quality time with each other.
No more getting up to an alarm clock to head to school as a Substitute Teacher, instead, I can wake up on my own and stay up later in the evenings. Yes, my husband still works but he has a flexible schedule that allows him to take off a day or two to extend our getaways.
Usually, around the end of May, I create a “Project List” to accomplish tasks before school ends in June. This gives me the motivation to push hard and clear out clutter and take items to donate or sell. This starts the summer vacation with no major projects but to sit and do my hobbies in writing and painting. Along with spending time with my family and friends.
What are the things that make you happy when the warm weather arrives and you’re on some much needed time off?
Do you plan ahead in advance for vacations or staycations? We do both. Plan out camping trips with our travel trailer and drive or fly to some other locations. What matters to me most is recharging and walking away from the rushing and stress we both have in our jobs.
Making memories in the summertime is so beautiful. Take each day you have whether alone or with a loved one and take pictures as much as you can. Have a wonderful Summer and be kind to yourself and rest.

You are safe, secure and complete in Me. So, stop your anxious striving, and come to Me with the things that concern you. Trust Me enough to be open and honest as you talk about these matters that weigh you down. Give all your worries and cares to me, for I care about you, I am taking care of you! Then rest for a while in the shelter of my Presence. When you wander away and leave Me out of your life, you no longer feel complete. The restlessness you experience at such times is a fight from Me, reminding you to return to your First Love. I want to be central in your thoughts and feelings, your plans and actions. This helps you live meaningfully, according to My will. You are on a pathway to heaven, and I am your constant Companion. You will encounter trouble as you journey with Me, but take heart! I have overrcome the wordld. In Me you are indeed safe, secure, and complete.
