God’s Marking On Us

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise.  Ephesians 1:13 NKJV

We are sealed with the Holy Spirit, which means we are protected by God, who is our owner. God’s seal which is a stamp of ownership or approval upon us is to show we belong to Him and we are His. No one and nothing can between you and God.

We are expected to be here for a while on earth in this crazy world as it may be, but the wait for Christ to return to take us home in Heaven is so worth it. Even though our lives may be filled with many trials and tribulations and the conditions seem quite difficult, we can be at peace that our marking protects us. We have been chosen by God, paid for by the blood of Christ, and branded and sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are safe!

Wrap yourself in the presence of the Lord and the Holy Spirit. Keep yourself free from negative influences whether that be people or surroundings. Make time to talk to God daily and reading the Word will help keep you grounded and steady as you face each day. I am not saying you will always have stress free days every day of your lives, but reminding yourself that everything that you are facing is only temporary and God is right there with you, so don’t lose your faith and hope.

When life is busy and hectic and you feel like giving up is the only answer, DO NOT CAVE, DO NOT GIVE UP! The enemy wins and you lose. If you’re finding you don’t have enough time in the day to accomplish your to-do list? Cut it back, stick to priorities and get yourself up an hour earlier or stay up an hour later to make time to be in the stillness and peacefulness with the Lord. The load may be heavy but the Lord takes on that burden so, just surrender it over to Him.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

BE WILLING TO FOLLOW wherever I lead. Follow Me wholeheartedly, with glad anticipation quickening your pace. Though you don’t know what lies ahead, I know and that is enough! Some of My richest blessings are just around the bend out of sight, but nonetheless very real. To receive these gifts, you must walk by faith, not by sight. This doesn’t mean closing your eyes to what is all around you. It means subordinating the visible world to the invisible Shepherd of your soul. Sometimes I lead you up a high mountain with only My hand to support you. The higher you climb, the more spectacular the view becomes also the more keenly you sense your separation from the world with all its problems. This frees you to experience exuberantly the joyous reality of My Presence. Give yourself fully to these Glory moments, awash in dazzling Light. I will eventually lead you down the mountain, back into the community with others. Let My Light continue to shine within you as you walk among people again.  2 Corinthians 5:7  Psalm 96:6  John 8:12  Psalm 36:9
