Anchored In Hope

When facing a storm in your life,  remember to release your anchor on the spot and weather the raging storm. Now that your anchor is grounded into the sea floor you can focus on your faith. If your anchor of faith is attached to the greater anchor of Jesus Christ then no matter what comes our way, the wind and the waves, cannot harm us He will hold us securely. We can face any storm when our hope is in Christ.

“We have this HOPE as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure”  Hebrews 6:19 NIV

“When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved…Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight”   Acts 27:20,29 NIV

The four anchors of Hope by the Word of God in times of a storm are, “Promises”, God will be with you in the midst of your storm and He will not leave your side but will encourage and empower you to not give up hope!

The second anchor is “Provision”, God gives us the wisdom for strength to make the right decisions and He will provide for any need you have.

The third anchor is “Prayer”, believing that the Lord will bring the light you need just at the right time to show us what to do next.

The fourth anchor is “Purpose”, remember that not one moment of Paul’s suffering was wasted. He endured many storms, wrecks, beatings, accusations, poverty, homelessness, and prison, God would use it all to bring about His purpose of saving many lives for eternity.

“Last night God’s angel stood at my side, an angel of this God I serve, saying to me, “don’t give up, Paul. You’re going to stand before Caesar yet and everyone sailing with you is also going to make it.” So, dear friends, take heart. I believe God will do exactly what he told me”  Acts 27:24-26 MSG

Your situation may seem forever and you might feel your faith and hope losing strength but you will make it you will come out this stronger than ever and can be a witness to all that may be facing a trial.
