Not Peace But A Sword

Not Peace, but a Sword

34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. 37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

This is very hard to hear and envision with the ones we love so deeply. I know with all of my heart and soul that it is vital we put God first in everything and it is asked of us from God that we love him with all our heart, mind and soul and not put anyone or anything before Him. If God says you do it you do.

Times are hard and I am seeing more and more marriages struggling, and families dividing due to differences. This is so heartbreaking. God does come first in everything I do in my life, and my husband and kids know that. I deeply love my husband and kids and consider them a gift from God and realize that is exactly what they are, God was in this the whole time from the beginning. If you are truly dedicated to God then you have to believe that He will be there for you forever and you owe it to Him to be faithful in your walk with Him in this life. I am not afraid to give up my life for our Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing here on earth that could keep me from changing my mind or wanting to stay here. I’m always ready for the Lord and do my best to stay on the narrow path. When life gets so incredibly crazy and so much pain and anger tests my faith or my family, I know that the Lord is right there in the middle and all will be well.

The Bible does not lie, nor God.  Jesus told us what to expect and what to be prepared for as the world comes to an end and man will destroy the world due to their selfish evil ways that are full of wrath. Remember, when all is said and done and the horrific events take place, in the end….. God Wins!
